What to bring with you

If you are coming into hospital as an inpatient  you should bring:-

  • Nightwear
  • Dressing gown
  • Slippers
  • Face flannel
  • Personal toiletries
  • Toothbrush
  • Books and Magazines
  • Any relevant x-rays still in your possession
  • Medicines in their original container

 

If you are coming into hospital as a day case you should bring:

  • Any relevant x-rays still in your possession
  • Any drugs and medicines you are currently taking in their original containers
  • Nightwear and personal toiletries are optional although slippers are advised.

 

A few things to remember:-

  • Please do not bring any valuables or large sums of money, as we cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings.  It may be possible to arrange for storage of valuables in the hospital safe although you are advised to leave such items at home.
  • If you bring any electrical equipment to the hospital this will need to be safety checked by our engineers prior to use.  Please inform your nurse on arrival who will be able to arrange this.
  • If you are coming in for surgery you are required to remove any nail varnish and false nails before you arrive.
